SOLAR FLEET and XIX Find Peace, MACTEP Steps Down

A short while after Triumvirate. and the Geminate Coalition signed a peace agreement, friends of Triumvirate. and former bitter enemies of GemCo SOLAR FLEET found peace with GemCo as well. SOLAR is said to be entering into a new, as-yet unnamed coalition reminiscent of the old Drone Russian Federation, spurred on by Triumvirate. who facilitated diplomatic contact and were likely a huge factor in the peace.

As this agreement comes, all noteworthy nullsec wars have come to an end, just a week before Fozziesov is deployed. All will be quiet on the Eastern Front, if only for a short while.

In the wake of this announcement, SOLAR FLEET leader MACTEP posted the following to eve-ru . Translated by TMC, it states he will be resigning the leadership of SOLAR FLEET to pursue his own interests. What this means for the future of SOLAR FLEET is open to speculation. MACTEP specifically refers to people who have said they will leave, and offered refuge to some of them in his corporation, but does not list hard numbers:

The gist is, they are proposing a peace treaty in advance of FozzieSov

xxDeathxx and Nulli will leave us alone, and we can discuss which drone regions will be ours to live in.

They are asking, if we (meaning you) are ready to sit at the table and come to an understanding.

Tri have gotten a similar proposition

After thinking for a few days, I came to the realization that for the future of the alliance this option is better than:

1) Basic plan (Initially we did not plan to take a lot of Sov before the patch, but instead to do organized terrorism in drone regions)

or

2) Move somewhere, either south or west

In principal, I very quickly decided for myself that, should I accept this proposition, there would be nothing left for me to do in the alliance other than sit offline. In this situation I would de facto end up in an uncomfortable situation. I perfectly understand what this would lead to in future.

We discussed this proposition first in a small group, and then in a wider setting, with everyone pitching in their for / against thoughts and their options. I am in agreement with the majority of conclusions reached. All the alternatives either lead to a dead end or an annoying, and unnecessary for the alliance (SF) or any other drone region alliance, adventure of moving "somewhere else."

Also, I did not desire a split in the alliance. We fought long and hard for our space and in my opinion no alliance had a more hardcore path than we did. I also think that the alliance deserves a rest and a more laidback / positive style of play in the future. After all, there are other people in the alliance apart from myself.

In the nearest future I will be giving all buttons and controls over to someone else, while moving myself to the corporation that 7 years ago started Solar Fleet - SDG. Following this, the corporation will leave the alliance. At the moment I have no other plans, most likely I will take a break from EVE and the weight that has been on my shoulders for the past several years.

I urge you not to make any rash movements or decisions etc, and also to relax and rest.

Over the last few days Sam was leading the negotiations, talking about the territories that SF would hold in the drone regions, as well as the conditions of the peace. At one point, the terms were unacceptable to basically every CEO, but it seems they have now satisfied the majority of the CEOs / directors in SF.

I do not urge anyone to leave the alliance, however I know that there are pilots who are determined and have announced their departure. If you so desire you may write me a letter in EVE or forums (for now) about joining SDG. I urge you not to rush this decision and weigh all your options.

There are no plans for SDG as of yet. The basic idea will be "small roaming", "no standings", "looking for any and all targets of opportunity". Maybe starting next month, maybe a bit later.

Regardless of the fact that I have been wanting to leave the day-to-day operation behind me for a long time now, this decision was not taken lightly by me, and I take no joy in it, I only realize that this is the lesser of all the evils.

I would like to thank everyone who remained and remains loyal to me, those who wanted to live in easy and profitable conditions have long left the alliance, but unfortunately the good old days, dating back to the old Red Alliance, when diplomacy was replaced with 1400mm cannons have long passed. This last era of managers and diplomats is not for me, and I do not fit in.

Подумавши пару днів я прийшов до думки, що для перспектив альянсу в цілому даний варіант дасть більше, ніж:

1. базовий план (спочатку не планувалося захоплювати багато сова до патча, а організовано зайнятися рандомних або точеним терором в Дронь)

або

2. переїзд, куди то на південь або захід.

В принципі я досить швидко для себе вирішив, що в разі прийняття даного варіанту, в альянсі крім як сидіти в офлайні, мені робити нічого. У даній ситуації, я б за фактом виявився б, як то кажуть "не в своїй тарілці". Прекрасно розуміючи до чого б це призвело в подальшому.

По даній темі, ми поспілкувалися спочатку невеликою групою, потім більш широкою, все висловили свої думки за \ проти \ варіанти. Я згоден з більшістю наведених доводів. Бо альтернативи введуть або в глухий кут або в геморой який не потрібен ні СФ \ ні іншим альянсів дронів або в авантюру з перельотом "куди то там".

Також я не хотів би розколу альянсу на розумних і красивих. Ми довго воювали за свій спейс, на мій погляд більш хардкорного шляху не було ні у одного альянсу. І думаю, альянс заслужив відпочинок і легшого \ позитивного стилю гри в майбутньому. Зрештою, в Альянсі не я один, щось робив.

Найближчим часом я передам всі кнопки і перейду в корпорацію, яка сформувала 7 років тому Solar Fleet - SDG. Надалі вона вийде з али.

На даний момент немає ніяких планів, швидше за все - просто відпочити від Єви і того вантажу який висів останні роки.

Прошу не робити ніяких різких рухів \ виходів і тд, а також спокійно відпочити.

Останні дні Сем ввів переговори, обговорюючи території і умови перебування СФ в Дронь, в якийсь момент практично для всіх СЕО вони були відверто не прийнятні, але ніби як в результаті влаштували переважна більшість сео \ Дірів СФ.

Чи не закликаю нікого залишати альянс, але, знаючи, що вже є пілоти, хто однозначно висловився про вихід. При бажанні ви зможете написати мені лист в Єві про вступ в SDG (поки можна і на форумі).

Тільки не поспішайте і зважте все.

Для SDG планів поки немає. Базовий орієнтир на смол роумінг \ відсутність стендів \ пошук будь-яких цілей. Може бути з наступного місяця, може бути пізніше.

Незважаючи на те що я давно хотів відійти від справ, так би мовити піти у відставку J, дане рішення мені далося нелегко і я не відчуваю якийсь радості, я просто розумію що це менше зло.

Дякую всім хто залишався і залишився лояльний до мене, хто хотів грядок давно покинули али, але на жаль минулі часи, ще з часів старого РА, коли дипломатію замінювали 1400 гармати - давно пройшли. А в останні епохи менеджерів і дипломатів - я не особливо вписуюся.
